Our community group, the Zimbabwe Canadian Support Group will be featured on a new television program called The Immigrant Talk Show on Rogers Television Channels 63 (Richmond Hill) and 10 (Durham and Brampton) in March 2012. The show is hosted by one of our own Zimbabwean sister, Dr. Vivian Mthenjwa-Hanya.
The episode in which our community group will appear will be discussing the role of ethnic community organizations in integrating its members into the Canadian society. We will inform you of the exact dates and times the program will be broadcast as these are still being worked out.
The Immigrant Talk Show will provide immigrants with a resource to hear stories and discussion about professional and social experiences, successes and challenges. Each week, Vivian will be joined by special guests to discuss particular topics that address issues facing immigrants.
The broadcasting date of the first run of programs has been released (See Box below). More dates will be supplied shortly. Below is a glimpse of the video clips of the program, and a table containing dates of the screening of the shows.

  1. Wow, this is great, thank you for helping to spread the news. I can surely give a testimony of how this Association is helping to boost the new show, YOUR SHOW, MY SHOW, OUR SHOW! I am Looking foward to have you on the Immigrant Talk Show, it will certainly have a positive impact/blast in our societies and change some people's perceptions of the immigrants, that they are not only waiting to receive, receive and complain about the system gaps but that they have a lot to offer to enhance the immigrant integration processes.

    Thank you
